Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is a Mexican American performer, singer and actress. She was raised by her mom in the USA. She was subjected to racial taunts and being made to feel unwelcome. As she entered the 9th grade she began to feel more secure after being applauded by her teachers for her performance at school's audition. The singer not only gained confidence from the experience however, she also re-evaluate her plans for her career. She attended the New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. In 1993, she had her Broadway debut with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was titled You've got Mail. Her greatest break came in the role of The Lady of The Lake as she appeared in the original Broadway adaptation of Spamalot. She won the Tony Award and received great reviews for her performance. In the year following, she was cast in the ABC series Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider appreciation for her performance. She is known as a performer and also released a single and an extended play. Also, she's an activist and fights for LGBT rights.
